Just Another Day

As I look out the window, there is a light snow falling. Big, fluffy flakes...the kind you always see in movies. I'm not a winter person but this is actually kind of pretty. The sun is shining and the icicles on the sides of houses are dripping from the afternoon light. My yard is a steady flurry of birds these days. I have to make sure the bird feeder is topped up daily and that those poor little sparrows have something to eat now that the snow has fallen.

Today has been an unusually quiet day. I took my two pooches out for a nice walk earlier. I have a wee little westie named Caesar and a golden doodle named Dixie. These dogs are the best company. You just can't beat the love from a dog. Being that both of them are still young dogs, they have more energy than they know what to do with. And when they are both off leash, they love to wrestle, run and cavort with each other. It's a real comedy show. They always have a way of making me laugh and smile.

What am I Doing?

For quite a long time now, I've contemplated the notion of posting a blog. But then again the thought of my ideas being spread amongst the universe sort of frightens me. So today I decided was THE day to start my blog. I'm not sure where this project will take me. Perhaps that is part of the appeal.

When I surf around the internet, I am constantly amazed to see just how many people actually want to share their lives with complete strangers. Maybe it is the inner desire for connection in a world full of chaos and uncertainty. Or maybe too many of us are hooked on reality TV shows which fuel an inner need to star in our own little productions. Whatever the appeal is, it is a truly fascinating time to be able to share a little piece of yourself with countless others. So the time has come to start down this new path.
